About us & our history

Novenco was established in Denmark in 1947, and today, Novenco Marine & Offshore employs about 200 employees worldwide.
We improve the life quality of people by creating a healthy indoor climate; we have done this for more than 75 years within the marine and offshore industry.
We are among the world leaders in supplying HVAC&R system, and we develop and manufacture high-quality heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions for marine and offshore.

Novenco has the full value chain, and all parts of the chain consists of committed and passionate employees that constantly strive to keep our customer in focus.

Our offices are placed in 3 countries combined with a broad network of agents represented in 20 countries, ensuring that we can offer local service in the major ship and offshore building regions.

Our goal is to offer environmentally responsible and energy-friendly solutions that meet even the most demanding global comfort and safety requirements.

Our site in Norway is certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2017. Furthermore, our factory in Wuxi, China is certified in accordance with ISO 14001:2015.

Our factory

Our factory is located in China in the Wuxi Jiangsu province and employs 40 people. It was established in 2007 and covers an area of 5800 square meters.
The factory provides high-quality HVAC&R products for the marine and offshore industry and ships it to customers worldwide. The factory produces products such as Air Handling Units, Cabin Units, Chillers, Self-contained Units and many more.

Other factories and workshops

By being a part of the Hi Air Korea group, we have access to several factories in Korea where we can manufacture Novenco equipment.
We also have cooperation with workshop in Norway where we manufacture Novenco equipment.
Through this, we can significantly increase our capacity or optimize logistics in projects without compromising the Novenco quality – all of this to meet the requirements from our customers.

Supply chain

Through our extensive range of qualified 3rd party suppliers combined with our own range of products, we will select the right solutions for our customers to suit their specific need. No matter if it is a highly advanced and customized offshore project or an off the shelf product for a merchant vessel – we will find the right solution!

in over 90 years, we have developed extensive experience in the production of plywood, lightweight composite panels thermal and sound-proofing, and in the sale of all kinds of fine wood species.

it was natural for us to evolve toward the creation of panel and flooring systems for sectors with specific functions of use such as yachts and train. We saw that the needs of our clients were changing and we had to evolve and develop ideas and solutions to anticipate and satisfy those needs.

We have become the main consultants for leading clients in such sectors as boat building, transport, industry and architecture. our supply chain adhered long ago to a logic of environmental sustainability, along with a narrow selection of the top italian and international suppliers of the finest raw materials.

Wood is at the heart of our strong specialization in the yacht building sector, the result of an expertise gained over almost 100 years of collaborations with operators active in the sector.
We produce lightweight, soundproofing marine plywood and sandwich panels, with high structural efficiency and high mechanical performance, making them a suitable choice for the construction of bulkheads, furnishings and floating floors.

We produce marine plywood starting from selected and internally processed veneers. Moisture resistance is guaranteed by class 3 bonding, in accordance with the EN 314 standard. We can customize the panels with surface finishing, through the use of veneered noble woods, papers, and laminates up to lacquering and pantographs.
Our plywoods are RINA approved, and we can also produce fire-certified panels on request.

Our lightweight and soundproofing sandwich panels, with attention to vibration damping, form the core of the many systems used in the nautical world. The marine plywood and inserts, alongside their foam and bonding, guarantee durability, resistance and compactness, in compliance with the strict regulations of the nautical sector.

Starting with Teak Asia planks, we can produce slats and coaming with sections on request.
